Road Department
Pike Township Road Department maintains all township roads. Township roads consist of all the roads except state highways and county roads. Some of the services which the Road Department provides are repair of roads with hot mix asphalt and cold patches, chip and seal, berming, roadside ditch cleaning, snow plowing, sign maintenance, roadside mowing, tree and brush trimming within the road right-of-way, culvert maintenance. All full-time employees must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Road crews are also responsible for maintaining all township vehicles and equipment used in their course of work. Keeping up with our main priority of Public Safety, Our Road Superintendent would like all township residents to be aware that snow plowing, and emergencies will take precedence over other township issues. Schedules are tentative and permitting in some instances. The regular hours of operation for the road department are Monday-Friday at 7:30 am. – 3:30 pm. (This is subject to seasonal changes and special projects.)
