Role of the Board of Appeals
The purpose of the Board of Zoning Appeals is to hear appeals of decisions rendered by zoning administrators, interpret unclear provisions in the zoning ordinance, and decide on applications by landowners to permit buildings or land uses which vary from the zoning regulations.
We strongly believe that, “Transparency” is government’s obligation to share information with citizens that is needed to make informed decisions and hold officials accountable for the conduct of the people’s business.
